What I've done
This week I ticked off a number of assets (pictured above) off the list in Trello for the project. This week was mostly just working and not too much research regarding the Drunken Dragon project - besides from the mini specialisation. I really wanted to have various shapes and sizes for the bottles as it'll assist with having some effective chaotic clutter. This also goes for my short and tall candle sticks.
I also did a little bit of drawing study (pictured below) for my mini specialisation and drew a few expressions from an expression chart (listed in resources).

Resources

Though I didn't have a look at many resources this week for the group project, we had a look at this one in class on Friday. As one of the creative leads in the team, the discovery of this "proxy stage" of game dev had me really keen on making sure we did it for our team. It's a fantastic way to make sure everything remains consistent in style and scale within the project, as well as knowing whether we have enough/not enough assets to fill up our scene.

I used this chart as a reference to do some drawings as a study for my mini specialisation project regarding facial expression. I'm planning on finding plenty more of these to practice with heads tilted at various angles so I get a better understanding of facial anatomy before I animate.

I had a browse through one of Disney's artists, Jin Kim's, work, for reference and inspiration. I especially took interest in his work on Moana.
What I've Learned & Planned Next
This week was mainly just getting back into the swing of modelling things. Next week I plan to finish up all my assigned assets to a proxy level. On top of this I'm hoping to finish drawing the expressions on the chart above and do some more research.
Cheers,
Grassland
